TIP #1 CORPORATE BOARDROOMS

Are you planning to install a corporate boardroom or meeting room? Here are some of the things corporate America usually installs in its conference rooms:

  • High resolution digital projectors for clarity and brightness
  • A good sound system, usually including full surround-sound, two side channels, rear channels, front and center channels and a subwoofer
  • Large screen video monitors, which may include conventional tube monitors or flat plasma screens
  • A unitized control and switching system capable of operating a variety of devices, such as VCRs, DVDs, computers, dropdown projection screens, room lights and drapes
  • A videoconferencing system

TIP #2 ENTERPRISE SECURITY SYSTEMS

Do you want your business to have state-of-the-art security? Today’s ultra high-tech corporate security systems bear little resemblance to the simple security and alarm systems of the past.

These new systems–called enterprise class systems–feature sophisticated components integrated under one umbrella.

With an enterprise class system, networking is now the name of the game. Security components that were wired individually–cameras, alarm systems that call the police or fire department, intercoms, access controlled doors–are now linked together and managed 24 x7 through a server in the building.

These new systems can be installed anywhere--in high-rise buildings, colocation facilities, corporate campuses, managed care facilities, etc. They are designed and integrated to converge with other building management systems, like heating and ventilation, so that all a facility’s systems can be managed through a central electronic control system.

The new systems can link far-flung satellite offices anywhere in the world to a central Chief Security Officer (CSO). Through a single work station, the CSO, can monitor a record of every employees movements and document usage of labs and data centers.
